Built in Beirut, for Lebanese books
Accounting Software in Lebanon, in USD and LBP
MAPOS keeps your books in dollars and pounds at the same time, on the Lebanese chart of accounts, with 11% VAT, NSSF payroll and the reports your accountant asks for.
Book a demo on WhatsAppOne set of books for the way Lebanon trades
Most Lebanese businesses sell in dollars, pay some costs in pounds and still have to report in pounds. Generic accounting programs handle one currency well and leave the other to Excel. MAPOS was built in Beirut for this from the start: any invoice, purchase or payment can be in USD or LBP, and both live in the same ledger.
The Lebanese chart of accounts, 11% VAT and payroll with NSSF and payroll tax are there on day one. The VAT declaration report, the statutory LBP report and the financial statements come out of the same entries, so your accountant checks reports instead of rebuilding them. It is cloud accounting: the books are online, you can open every module from the MAPOS app on your phone, and you can download a backup whenever you want.
Accounting in MAPOS is not a separate program. Sales from the till, stock from the warehouse and salaries from payroll post into the same books. You stop re-typing totals at month end, and the numbers on the shop floor match the numbers in the ledger. The MAPOS POS keeps an official invoice series per terminal, even when the internet is down, so every receipt reaches the books.

Moving from your old program or Excel
- 1
Demo on data like yours
We show MAPOS running your kind of sales, stock and accounting, in USD and LBP, not a generic tour. We agree the scope and the cutover date, ideally the start of a financial year or a VAT period.
- 2
We map and move your data
Your old accounts are mapped to the Lebanese chart with your accountant. Opening balances come across per account and per currency, then customers, suppliers, open invoices, items and stock.
- 3
We reconcile before go-live
The new trial balance, receivables, payables and stock value are checked against the old system on the cutover date. Dollar balances stay in dollars and pound balances stay in pounds.
- 4
Training and local support
Bilingual video guides for every workflow, a client portal during the rollout, and a local team on WhatsApp who know your setup.
Accounting software in Lebanon: common questions
Can one accounting system keep USD and LBP in the same set of books?
Yes. In MAPOS you enter any invoice, purchase or payment in USD or LBP. Each document keeps its own currency, every report shows totals per currency, and exchange gains and losses post automatically. Your accountant gets the statutory LBP report and FX revaluation from the same entries.
Does MAPOS prepare the Lebanese VAT declaration?
MAPOS prepares the figures. It has 11% VAT, per-item exemptions, separate taxable and exempt purchase accounts, and a VAT declaration report for any period. Your accountant reviews the report, files with the Ministry of Finance, then closes the VAT period in MAPOS so declared documents cannot change. Sales from the MAPOS POS flow into accounting, so the sales figure includes every till.
Does it handle NSSF and payroll tax?
Yes. MAPOS payroll calculates NSSF contributions and progressive payroll tax. The rates are settings you edit, so a new official decision means a settings change, not a software update. Payroll sits in the same books as the rest of your accounting.
Can my accountant work in MAPOS?
Yes. Give your accountant a role with the permissions they need. They can review and approve draft journals in bulk, run the VAT report, close the VAT period, post the year-end entry and pull the balance sheet, income statement and cash-flow statement. The audit log shows who changed what, and supporting documents sit on the entry they belong to.
Can I switch from my old accounting program or Excel?
Yes. We move your chart of accounts, opening balances per currency, customers, suppliers, open invoices, items and stock, and as much history as you need. We clean duplicates first, then reconcile the trial balance, receivables, payables and stock with the old system before you go live. Your old program can stay read-only for audits.
