Point of sale, built in Beirut
A POS System in Lebanon That Keeps Selling When the Power or Internet Cuts
MAPOS is a till for shops, supermarkets and restaurants that sells with no internet, takes dollars, lira and Whish, and puts every sale straight into your stock and your books.

Most POS systems are built for places where the power stays on and the internet rarely drops. Here, the generator kicks in, the router restarts, and a cloud-only till freezes with a queue at the counter. Cashiers end up writing sales on paper that someone types in later, with mistakes.
MAPOS was built for these days. The till keeps a local copy of what it needs to sell. Sales made offline wait in a queue and sync on their own when the line comes back. Each terminal has its own official invoice series, so two tills never print the same number, online or offline.
Before you choose any POS, run one test in your own shop: unplug the router in the middle of a sale. Finish the sale, take the payment and print the receipt. Then check the invoice numbers and the end-of-day report once the line is back. If any step fails, it is not full offline mode.

Dollars, lira and Whish at the till
- Prices and payments in USD or LBP, at the rate you set

POS in Lebanon: common questions
Does the MAPOS POS work without internet?
Yes. It has a full offline mode. The till keeps a local copy of what it needs, finishes and prints each sale, and queues it. When the connection returns, the sales sync on their own. Each terminal keeps its own invoice series, so numbers never clash. You still need a small UPS for the till, printer and router, because offline mode does not replace power.
How much does a POS system cost in Lebanon with MAPOS?
It depends on the modules, branches and users you need, so we quote each business after a short demo. Message us on WhatsApp to book one.
What hardware does it work with? Printers, scanners, scales?
The POS runs on a desktop, a tablet or a phone. It reads barcode scanners and scale-barcode labels from deli and produce scales, prints receipts and gift receipts, and prints labels you design. It also runs a kitchen screen, a customer display and in-aisle price checkers. Send us your current hardware list when you book the demo.
Can I run several branches on one POS?
Yes. All branches sell from one stock, with transfers between branches and warehouses and approvals if you want them. Each till has its own invoice series and Z-report. You can follow sales across branches from the MAPOS app.
Can the till take USD and LBP at the same time?
Yes. Prices and payments can be in either currency, at the rate you set. One payment can be split across cash, card and Whish. Each amount stays in the currency it was taken in, so the closing count is so many dollars and so many lira, and the Z-report adds a combined USD total.
How do I switch from my current POS?
We import your items, customers, suppliers, balances and history from your old software or Excel. We set up each till and match your scale labels, you count opening stock, and your team learns from Arabic and English video guides. Pick a quiet day to go live, not the first week of a sale.
